It is also National Pumpkin Day over on a month full of Smiley Silliness. So have a nice big slice of pumpkin pie and feel patriotic.
Today was also the day the cartoon character Dick Tracy got married back in 1950. A toast to the smiley couple! I wonder if Dick Tracy had pumpkin pie for his wedding.
Do birthday peeps Humphrey Bogart (1899), Cab Calloway (1907), Sissy Spacek (1949), Jimmy Buffet (1946), Annie Lennox (1954), Rod Serling (1924), Rickey Henderson (1958, a my favorite baseball player of all time), and CCH Pounder (1952), have candles on a pumpkin pie instead of chocolate cake?
Here’s a wacky one for today that I can’t quite figure why it even exists: No “L” Day also known as A’phabet Day. Anyone know the origin?
I guess I should also mention that it’s Christmas Day, too. If you celebrate it in your home, I hope it’s the happiest one yet!
And tonight we get an extra Christmas present of a beautiful moon.
BTW, the Smileys on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see in the Daily Smiley.
