What nicer thing
can you do for somebody
than make them breakfast?
~ Anthony Bourdain
Not that making cereal is quite what he had in mind, but apparently millennials find cereal to be too complicated to prep.
I imagine I’ll be getting some boos and hisses for mentioning that it’s Math Day. Some of us love math. I even have a coffee mug that says so! Puzzle lovers are often also math lovers. I know that’s true for my kids and for me!
It’s also The Birthday of the Telephone over on a Month of Smiley Silliness. If telephones had cakes, the telephone would need 138 candles! Be sure to check out all the other Smileys, silly holidays and quotes you find there.
Also celebrating birthdays today are Wanda Sykes (1964), Bryan Cranston (1956), and Willard Scott (1934, Only 18 more years until you can feature yourself on Willard Scott features people’s 100th birthday). If I got to pick, I’d have dinner with Wanda. How about you?
As the end of Write a Letter Week approaches, I have to apologize for not telling you earlier. I meant to, but it’s also Procrastination Week.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
Plus, as is often the case, the Cereal Smiley you get in the Smiley-a-Day emailer is different from what you see here.
