Ever chop jalapeños and then rub your nose? I don’t recommend it, but at least it’s not as bad as if you rub your eyes!
The cool thing about the jalapeño effect on your nose is that as your nostrils are burning they are also sending you a million more messages about sensations than they normally do. Every breath in and every breath out is felt like the sensors in your nose are screaming out their sensory report. It’s actually quite cool (well hot).

Lesson 1: Pay attention to your breath.
Pass out jalapeños and the class will have no problem
paying attention to the breath.
