The good looking guy with the roll, that’s my personal rock and roller, hubby Dave. I snapped this photo at the SF airport when I was headed off on a medical mission with Operation Smile. He’s putting on a brave face, the nervous nelly. He always worries when I travel. Kind of sweet.
It’s the beginning of the Week of the Single Working Woman on our calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness.
Today is the birthday of Instant Coffee, introduced on this day in 1938. Sing it with me…The best part of waking up, is Folgers in your cup.
Additionally, today is Ruth Buzzi’s birthday, born this day in 1936. How perfect that she was born on Tell an Old Dumb Joke Day. Here’s a dumb joke by the birthday girl: If Puccini had finished his opera, Madame Butterfly two weeks earlier, it would have been called Madame Caterpillar.
