It’s Kiss ME Day over on our AUGUST calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness. I’m taking that to mean M-E, me! Let the kissing of ME commence. I am ready!
On a more serious note, it is also Global Forgiveness Day. With all that is going on around the globe, we need this forgiving perspective more than ever.

My all time favorite baseball player, Ricky Henderson broke the record for stolen bases in a single season on this day in 1982 and I was there! I still have the T-shirt I bought to commemorate that day. That day he broke the record of 119 and went on to steal 130 that year–a record that still stands with no one even coming close.
Today is also Mother Teresa‘s birthday (1910) and Pee Wee Herman‘s birthday (1952), hmmm…. twins separated at birth? They both want people to be kind and happy and gentle and generous. I am a big fan of them both!
