Today is a day of celebration for winter blooming flowers. Take a walk. bring your clippers. Come home with a bouquet. What with climate change, I’m not certain which flowers bloom when, anymore!
On this day in 1933 Flip Wilson was born. I loved his variety show back in the 70’s. Other birthday celebrants include Nicki Minaj (1982), Jim Morrison (1943), Kim Basinger (1953), Sinead O’Connor (1966), and Diego Rivera (1886).
Cyclops Smiley with Cowlick
Over on a month full of Smiley Silliness it’s Cowlick Day. Funny that it is both Cowlick Day and Bad Hair Day. Seems like someone is suggesting that cowlicks aren’t beautiful. Phooey to that. I suppose it might also be Use Hair Gel Day? Or Wear a Hat Day? Here’s a Cowlick Smiley, but you’ll see a different over on the monthly calendar.
Bake up a batch of Brownies and enjoy yourself celebrating Brownie Day. They are mighty good hot from the oven and served up with vanilla ice cream.
