1st Submarine, 1902
Would you believe me
if I told you I was being
followed by
a yellow submarine?

Today is George Harrison‘s birthday (1943), how appropriate he was born on the day celebrating the submarines. I love George‘s quote today on the Month of Smiley Silliness. Check it out for Smiley pics, goofball holidays, and relevant quotes. And maybe this is TMI, but oh boy did I have a crush on George! Growing up my girlfriends and I could talk endlessly about which Beatle we wanted to marry.
Another creator of things that enrich our sensual selves, Pierre Auguste Renoir was also born this day in (1841). I am close friends with a man who is the artist’s great-great-grandson. In honor of my friend and the talented painter, I’ll be saying happy birthday with a handful of Chocolate Covered Nuts. Yep, that’s another thing we celebrate today.
In honor of amazing architecture everywhere, just hoping we’ll notice they’re smiling, I say Happy Architecture Day. I found this Smiley in Spain proving that a smile is understood in all languages!
Plus, as is often the case, the Beach Smiley (honoring Submarine Day) you get in the Smiley-a-Day emailer is different from what you see here.
