My mom, who passed away 6 years ago, always wrote my sister’s and I notes on our lunchbox napkins.. signed MOM and the “O” in the middle was a smiley face. Since then, whenever my sisters and I see a spontaneous smiley, we take a picture and email it to each other as a message from our mom. 🙂 I found this one on the sidewalk while I was running one day… The really funny thing is that as I was coming back down the hill on the other side of the street, I saw my sister (who lives 3 miles away) running over the same spot… we had not spoken about both going for a run that day- or where we would go and this route is not our “usual” one…
