Pack Your Mom’s
Lunch Day
“It is more fun to talk
with someone who doesn’t use
long, difficult words but rather
short, easy words like,
“What’s for lunch?”
~Winnie the Pooh
If you have any pickles left over from yesterday, mom might enjoy one in her lunch. It is also Clean Out the Frig Day–please do it so mom doesn’t have to. AND no old food in mom‘s lunch!
Additionally, it’s Red Wagon Day. I had one. Did you? We would rake all the leaves into a huge pile at the bottom of a neighbor’s steep driveway and then ride without fear (or good judgement) at high speed into the pile. Over and over again and it never got old. So fun to relive the happy memories from back when I was a kid.
Over on a month full of Smiley Silliness it’s Recycling Day. Come on everybody. It is incredibly easy and incredibly necessary! Even when it takes a little effort, do it! BTW, the disgusting old food you pulled out of the frig should go into the compost not the landfill. BTW, a different Recycling Smiley awaits you on the monthly calendar.
Now let’s see who has a birthday today. Enjoy yourselves with cake and ice cream, Ed Asner (1929), Petula Clark (1932), and Sam Waterston (1940). Sorry they’re all geezers; I simply don’t recognize most of the younger folks listed!
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
Plus, as is often the case, the Lunch Smiley you get in the Smiley-a-Day emailer is different from what you see here.
DID I MISS ANY GOOFY, SILLY, UPBEAT HOLIDAYS??
