Funny, it was just Fight Procrastination Day and now a quote about procrastination along with another holiday which urges one to procrastinate as in it’s also Don’t Make Your Bed Day! Whoa, I bet procrastination never had such a busy week.

Over on our September calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness we start Build Your Self Image Week and Positive Thinking Day.

BTW, do you know how to get a diagonal fade line on the back of your jeans? Live in a house with a spiral staircase and always slide down the banister instead of walking down. The wear pattern goes from one hip across to the other knee. I know this from experience! It was fun, just now, flashing back to the year we lived in the house with a spiral staircase. happy Spiral Staircase Day!

Additionally, it’s No News is Good News Day. May I suggest a day away from the 24/7 bombardment of news? If you miss anything, be assured you’ll catch up. But just imagine how nice it would be to take a day, away from the constant updates and mind numbing sadness of the news.

In the way of foods, today we celebrate the Hot Cross Bun. Anyone have a smiling hot cross bun? Not me. Send me yours and I’ll use it next year!

Today we send birthday wishes to Harry Connick, Jr. (1967). I’m a fan. My kids refer to the standards I love as, mom’s sappy music. I do so love the old tunes of the 30s and 40s.

It’s also Library Day. I have such fond memories of hanging out at the Hopkins Library in Berkeley (I even had the lofty plan to read every book in the kids’ section).  If you haven’t been lately, reintroduce yourself. Libraries are so very lovely and inviting.

Just FYI, today’s Smiley was found the last time I visited Chicago. I was looking up from the base of a spiral staircase at the lights in the ceiling.
