Be Kind to the
Meter Reader Day
Happiness is not
something you postpone
for the future;
it is something
you design for the present.
– Jim Rohn
No Parking Meter quotes,
so a happiness quote fills in.
There’s not much in the realm of chocolate that I don’t like, but today’s feature candy I can give a pass and pass onto to someone else! Enjoy those Chocolate Covered Raisins all you Raisinette lovers out there.
Today we say happy birthday to Jim Parsons (1973), Starr Jones (1962)and Harry Houdini (1847). I’d pick Starr to dine with, how about you?
It is also Snickerdoodle Day. Man, I love this cookie, but also man is it time consuming to make! I’m not patient enough to let the dough get firm enough for rolling into balls. But, I came up with the idea of baking Snickerdoodles in a cupcake pan. Grease the pan. Shake cinnamon and sugar mixture around in the little cups. Drop in a spoonfull of dough. Shake some more cinnamon and sugar on top. Bake away! No rolling required! The down side is no hands covered in sticky dough that you get to lick clean. So, I give myself permission to eat a spoonful…or two.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
