Instead of resolutions based on the premise that you are bad and need to fix yourself, I suggest resolutions to bring more joy into your life.
1) I resolve to luxuriate in bed every morning for at least 5 minutes after my alarm goes off. Nothing is quite so cozy as my warm bed.
2) I resolve to step away from my desk EVERY afternoon, no matter how pressing my TO DO list, to spend 10 minutes with my cats doing nothing but sharing love.
3) I resolve to date my husband one night per week! Don’t want that studdly man of mine turning into a mere roommate.
Now there are some resolutions I can actually accomplish. I’m not setting myself up for failure-rather for indulgence, love and romance.
