This week I embark on a new project, one that has me so excited I’m having trouble sleeping. I’m spending all weekend trying to get ahead on all my responsibilities so in the week ahead of me I can jump in with both feet–deep end here I come! Nope, I’m not telling what I’m up to, not yet.
It’s such an exciting feeling of anticipation. I love anticipation. I know it’s not cool to admit; anticipation has gotten such a bad rap lately (Well not lately exactly…but lately as in more and more people exploring the ideas of Buddha lately: ” The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, not to anticipate the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly” Just because you feel joy in the knowing that something is coming, does not mean you are grasping, are unsatisfied with the moment or not living in the moment. I see it merely as a celebration of what is to come or in this case an exuberance felt when the things I have worked for, start to fall into place and I prepare for the work that comes next. I like to say: “In this moment do the work, that gets the work done.”
