Re-Build a Bridge Day
(A bridge that you’ve burned)
Mend fences, build bridges,
forgive trespasses, grieve losses,
and let toxic grudges go.
~ Unicahija Tamano
It’s also Clean Out Your Linen Closet Day over on our calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness. I have a sneaky suspicion that this one comes to us courtesy of Bed, Bath & Beyond or the Container Store. I organized mine the other day and seeing it all tidy really made me happy.
Another couple of holidays for today that I loved stumbling upon MMS (MadeMeSmile). It’s both Cousin Day and Creme Brûlée Day. My kids’ cousin Anna, LOVES creme brûlée! Perfect.
Today we say happy birthday to 3 guys, all of whom made us laugh: Robin Williams (1951), Don Knotts (1924), and Garry Trudeau (1948). Additionally, it’s Ernest Hemingway‘s (1899) birthday. That’s quite a lot of talent for one day.
On this day in 1875 the novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer hit the the shelves. And speaking of books… today’s Smiley picture can be found on the title page of A Smiley Book of Colors. Another note about the Golden Gate Bridge, I got married on it, midspan.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
Plus as is often the case, just for grins, you get a different Bridge Smiley in the Smiley-a-Day emailer.
