Gene Kelly was born this day in 1912 and starred in my all time favorite movie, Singing in the Rain, and so it is Singing in the Rain Day. Other birthday peeps include Rick Springfeild (1940), Barbara Eden (1931), and Keith Moon (1946).

Today you can also celebrate Buttered Corn and Gymnastics Days. Probably not a good idea to eat buttered corn and then climb on the uneven parallel bars–too slippery. You could eat a peach for Eat a Peach Day–they’re sticky. Wait, wasn’t it Peach Day yesterday? Well, yes. Who knows why, but I just have to figure peaches are just that good.
