In honor of International Day of Peace Day, let us each try to bring peace into our own world and to the people whose paths we cross. It’s easier than you might imagine–simply be kind. Kindness is the gift of peace. No surprise that this Day of Peace is also called Gratitude Day.

Over on our September calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness it’s Banana Festival Day. Maybe we should all check Facebook to see if we were invited. BTW, you’ll see a different Banana Smiley there.
Happy birthday to Bill Murray (1950). Can anybody explain to me why his mug is suddenly everywhere? Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s great. I just missed whatever event it was that propelled Bill onto shirts and mugs and memes.

Additional birthday celebrants are Faith Hill (1967) and Ricki Lake (1968). A few years back The Ricki Lake Show followed me on Twitter and thus I began to make friends with a bunch of Hollywood people, many delightful friendship with many delightful people. And a great education of the ins and outs of Social Media. I’d never have thought I’d be the guest of Vanity Fair for Oscars week back in 2014. It was fun to play at the glam life for a week.
