Send a
Bouquet Day
A flower cannot blossom
without sunshine,
and man cannot live
without love.
~ Max Muller
If you’re outside tonight just after dusk, take a gander at the sky not for writing but for Mars. Tonight we celebrate Red Planet Day. Look low in the southwest sky.
Today is also the birthday of Berry Gordy the founder of Motown, born this day in 1929. Thank you Berry, you made the music I most closely identify with. If I were stuck on a dessert island and could have only one record label’s catalog, without hesitation I would pick Motown (and then hope another stranded soul would show up with the entire Beatles catalog).
Over on a month full of Smiley Silliness it’s French Toast Day. It doesn’t take much urging to get me to say yes to French Toast! And it’s so easy to make! I’m thinking, thanks for the reminder! That’s what we’ll have for dinner. I love nights when we have breakfast for dinner.
I’ve never done skywriting, but knowing that today is Skywriting Day has me contemplating what I’d write and for whom I’d do it. It’s pleasant to imagine.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
Plus, as is often the case, the Flower Smiley you get in the Smiley-a-Day emailer is different from what you see here.
