Peanut Butter
Cookie Day
Man cannot live
by bread alone;
he must
have peanut butter.
~ James A. Garfield
Nobody ever made a peanut butter cookie better than my kid Darren. Boy, I miss that little cookie maker! The whole empty nest thing really sucks.
Over on a month full of Smiley Silliness it’s Pretzel Day. You have surely noticed how every pretzel bears a Smiley Face. Can you catch the Smiley Face Pretzel in our music video Do You See What I See? And, man oh man, peanut butter pretzels are yummy!
On this day in TV History 2 momentous events occurred: In 1966 the first episode of Batman aired (the one with live actors and millionaire Bruce Wayne). Then in 1971, for the first time ever, a toilet was heard flushing. It happened on All in the Family. Before that flush, censor had never allowed anything so crass on TV. So quaint. Almost 5 decades later and good golly Miss Molly how standards have changed!
Happy birthday wishes for Jack London (1876), Oliver Platt (1960), and Kirstie Alley (1951). Hey guys, I got you a Full Moon for your birthday.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
