Pasta Day
Life is not worth living
if I cannot have
pasta or bread.
~ Monica Seles
Today is also I’m Not Going to Take it Anymore Day. There’s a good lesson there. Don’t put up with things that bring you down or people who are toxic in your life. We really do teach people how to treat us by what we put up with. I’ve been scared to draw the line, but once I did it, my life was so much better!
Over on a month full of Smiley Silliness it’s Rock Day. I have SO many Rock Smileys. Think you can’t find a Smiley? Start looking at rocks! Want more hints? Click.
Happy Birthday Katie Couric (1959). I was kind of blown away when I saw we were the same age. I look like I have a few more miles on me than she does! Laughing out loud–laughing at myself, a very healthy thing to do! I had the fun of meeting Katie when she was the moderator for a conference called Are You Happy Now? at Stanford CA. Really interesting. If you have the time, check out the video; it’s about an hour long.
Seems appropriate here to say thanks once again to CBS Evening News for telling the Spontaneous Smiley story back when Katie was the anchor!
Katie is not the only one celebrating today. There’ll be birthday cakes for Nicolas Cage (1964), Kenny Loggins (1948), Buck Rogers (1929), Flash Gordon (1934), Blue Ivy Carter (2012), and David Caruso (1956).
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
Plus, as is often the case, the Pasta Smiley you get in the Smiley-a-Day emailer is different from what you see here.
DID I MISS ANY GOOFY, SILLY, UPBEAT HOLIDAYS??
SHOOT ME AN EMAIL. I WANT TO KNOW!
