Chocolate Chip
Cookie Day
I love nothing more
than a good, rich,
dark chocolate.
It exhilarates.
It satisfies.
~ Abigail Spencer
Eeew-Gads. I had a chocolate chip cookie yesterday. Hope I’m not in trouble.
Over on a Month of Smiley Silliness we note tonight’s full moon and the beginning of Act Happy and Become Happier Week.
It’s Plant a Flower Day. So easy to find Smileys in flowers! Check out all the different Smileys, holidays and quotes you’ll find over there. They are all different than what you get in the daily email Smiley!
Today we say happy birthday to Liza Minnelli (1946). She always been so full of gumption and panache. I do so love people who take the world by storm, and she certainly did in Cabaret (1972). Today is bursting with birthdays! There’s James Taylor (1948), Alfred Hitchcock (1899), Marlon Jackson of the wonderful Jackson 5 (1957), Al Jarreau (1940), Barbara Feldon (1933) and Jack Kerouac (1922). Phew, that’s a lot. Some days I struggle to recognize the names of any of the people listed. Not that they’re not noteworthy, but I’m just out of the loop. LOL, you will notice that one of today’s b-day peeps was born not last century, but the century before last century! Feel free to call me old; I’ve even begun to believe it myself (a bit). Looking at the possible dinner dates, I think I’d want to dine with Marlon. I grew up loving the Jackson 5.
Today we also celebrate the Girl Scouts, founded this day in 1912. I was a Brownie. Then I was a Girl Scout for one day–our troop leader was a no show. Ahh, good old Berkeley in the 60’s.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
Plus, as is often the case, the Chocolate Chip Smiley you get in the Smiley-a-Day emailer is different from what you see here.
