It’s also Corn on the Cob Day. BBQ’d corn on the cob is one of my favorite things about summer! As far as I’m concerned it can be the whole meal! Topped off with German Chocolate Cake, of course (also celebrated this day).

Another good one to celebrate today is Hugging Day. Say happy birthday and send a hug to Gene Wilder (1933), a man who never disappointed. Thanks for the laughs, buddy.
On this day back in 1982, ET debuted. My brother Noney thought it was the dopiest movie he ever saw. So being the loving sister that I am, I began getting him every ET thing I could find. At this very moment I have a little 2 inch ET figure ready to sneakily hide somewhere in his house as a surprise.
