Zipper Day
First you forget names,
then you forget faces.
Next you forget to
pull your zipper up and finally,
you forget to pull it down.
~ George Burns
I always loved his sense of humor.
Never unkind. Always spot on.~Ruth
Today’s Smiley has a place of honor in A Smiley Book of Colors.
It’s also Poem in Your Pocket Day over at a Month of Smiley Silliness. Let’s hope the pocket has a zipper! Wouldn’t want to lose the poem.
Today is also World Wish Day. If you could snap your fingers or wiggle you nose, is there one wish that comes to mind?
Today we say happy birthday to Jerry Seinfeld (1954), Uma Thurman (1970), Michelle Pfeiffer (1958) and Duke Ellington (1899). I saw the amazing Duke Ellington, at the Berkeley Community Theatre, as the prize for winning a creative writing class, back in 4th grade. I won the concert and ended up being bullied dreadfully for being the teacher’s pet. I wish I had a Piano Smiley to post here for this great jazz musician. Music Stand Smiley will have to do.
BTW, the Smileys on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see in the Daily Smiley.
