June 28
T.G.I.Found
a Public Restroom Day
Fame lost its appeal for me
when I went into a public restroom
and an autograph seeker
handed me a pen and paper,
under the stall door.

I just want to take a second and give a shout out to all business owners who have ever said yes when I’ve asked to use their restroom. Typing this right now, I’ve made a vow. Going forward I’m going to give them a dollar. If everyone did, they’d all start saying yes way more often! Jeez, there sure have been times when I’d have been willing to pay even more, way more!
It’s also Chips and Salsa Day over on a calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness. Yum! My favorite snack (or dinner).
Today we say happy birthday to Mel Brooks (1926), Kathy Bates (1948), John Cusack (1966), Raggedy Ann (1917), and Gilda Radner (1946). Gilda , you had way too few birthdays. Such a loss. I would have loved to sit across the dinner table from Gilda.
One last birthday, I couldn’t let June 28 go by without sing one of my favorite songs which written by a man born this day in 1902. Hint: his initials were RR. Singing and dancing does so, so much to boost your mood. Join me?
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
Plus, as is often the case, the Restroom Smiley you get in the Smiley-a-Day emailer is different from what you see here.
