Who has a Spelling Bee memory???
I got the boot near the final round with the word
C-O-U-S-I-N. I think it was first grade (but thinking about it now, cousin seems like a 3rd grade word…).

Who has a memory of something they got wrong once in school and will never get wrong again?
For me:
1) 5+7=12
2) How to spell THOROUGH
3) Winter of 1966 I learned that even though it was just over zero outside, “Girls do not wear play clothes to school.” Sent to the Principal’s Office for wearing pants to kindergarten.
What are your 3?

Went thru a fast food drive thru today for the first time in several decades. The need for caffeine and hydration out weighed my strong desire to never give any money to these organizations. I was soooo tired I ordered a non-fat Coke. That got them all laughing! Make that Diet Coke.
Then silly me, I ordered a large not knowing that meant about a gallon. I had to ask them to pour half of it out as I was worried my poor little cup holder would snap right off. This really got them laughing!
Happy to be providing SMILES where ever I go!

Read more »As my children became older and my responsibility to drive them to more and more places shifted from after school hours to evening ones, many people joked that I’d surely be glad when they were old enough to drive and I no longer had to be on the road late at nights.
How far off the mark those predictions were! As each child got their driver’s license I deeply missed the intimate late night drives. It had always been a joy for me to sit and hear them tell me the details of their day. There’s something especially nice about being with just one child, alone in a dark car…they open up in way not experienced any other way.

Now those years are over; all my kids are in college. What I wouldn’t give to be the one to pick them up, late at night, once again. If only I could have put on the brakes of time.
Don’t forget to savor the moments of today. You do not ever get to have today’s moments again.
Smile. Be Happy.

Read more »Just got this iPad a couple days ago. I’m traveling and have a bunch of Smileys you all have submitted that I would like to post. The problem is they live inside of emails and I don’t know how to get them out of the email and imported into the blog???
Anyone savvy-er than I? Let me rephrase that since so many are way savvy-er. Anyone know how to get a pic out of MacMail so it can be imported into a WordPress blog?
Smile. And let me know.
