Peanut Lovers’ Day
There’s nothing better
than good sex.
But bad sex?
A peanut butter and jelly sandwich
is better than bad sex.
~ Billy Joel
I do so love peanut butter. Every time I have a taste of that yummy stuff, I remember to feel the gratitude, anew, that I am not allergic to peanuts. I do so love peanut butter, especially peanut butter with chocolate. I always say, peanut butter calls my name. Chocolate calls my name. But if they’re both at the house, they hog tie me and make me eat every bit. By the way here’s a lovely coincidence, the founder of Hershey’s was born on this day (see below).
It’s also Positive Thinking Day. I’m positively thinking I need to have some chocolate and peanut butter today and tomorrow, and the next day and the next.
And for the few loners out there who don’t like peanut butter, it’s also Pickle Day over on our September calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness.
It’s also Fortune Cookie Day. I laughed out loud when I saw this that George Takei had posted. He’s my favorite curator. Silly goose posting it to facebook on the 5th, eight full days early. That dude needs to subscribe to the Smiley-a-Day!
Additionally it’s Defy Superstitions Day. So who’s up for walking under ladders, stepping on cracks and not touching a button as you drive past a cemetery? I’m not superstitious, but I LOVE all of the rituals. The make life rich! They help you to be aware of the moment.
Today we send birthday wishes to Tyler Perry (1969), Roald Dahl (1916), Milton Hershey (1813), Iyanla Vazant (1953), Tavis SMILEY (1964), and Jean Smart (1951).
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
Plus as is often the case, just for grins, you get a different Peanut Smiley in the Smiley-a-Day emailer.
