Over on the September calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness it’s One Hit Wonder Day. I am happy to share a one hit wonder that has been my theme song ever since I first heard it. At our wedding it was the first song to play after our first dance. All of my friends, in mass, jumped to their feet when they heard the opening notes. That moment is a happy memory I often replay (at 2:30 each afternoon).
It is also Clean Water Day. Operation Change is doing great things all over the globe including getting clean water to people in need. Check out how lives change with access to clean water.
On this day back in 1954, the Tonight Show debuted. It’s fun to think back on all the stars we met sitting at the Tonight Show desk. I certainly have a soft spot in my heart for this show.

It’s also Eat Dinner With Your Kids Day and Crush a Can Day. Serve them something out of a can and you’ll be able to kill two birds with one stone. I wish there was a different, less violent saying that meant the same as two birds with one stone–Perhaps you can post your suggestions!
And, hey, with that dinner with your kids, be sure to serve Chocolate Milk as it too gets honored today.
And just because I love love, I couldn’t let the day go by without mentioning that it’s also World Heart Day or World Love Day. If you want to be loved, act lovable. In Latin that’s: Si vis ameris, amabilis esto!
Happy birthday Sean Cassidy (1959). I wonder what you’re up to now. I haven’t thought of you in years. You were quite the heart throb back in the day when I was 9 and you were a teen star.
