When I snapped this Firetruck Smiley, I had to ask the cute firefighters to move aside. They thought I had asked to take a picture of THEM by their truck, not just their truck. I was probably the first middle aged woman who didn’t want their picture (nothing personal, guys, but you were blocking the Smiley).
Today is also Face Your Fears Day, Curiosity Day and Moldy Cheese Day. So if you’ve ever been curious, about tasting really ripe cheese, don’t be scared, give it a try.

Over on the October calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness it’s the start of Get the World to Beat a Path to Your Door Week. It’s also Make Music Day, so maybe they should dance to your door. Here’s a cartoon about music that made me chuckle out loud.
Happy Birthday to John Lennon. He would have been 76 today. Imagine all the music he could have made had he been alive these last 36 years. On another note, his wife Yoko Ono has a Smile Project, too. How I’d love to hook up with her and swap Smile Project info! Does anyone reading this hang out with Yoko? An optimist always figures it’s worth asking.
