Let Your
Smiley Out
Day
Few things in life
are more powerful
than a positive push.
A smile.
A word of optimism and hope.
~ Richard M. DeVos
A Fence Smiley to remind you not to leave your Smiley hiding behind a fence, let it out!
Over on a month full of Smiley Silliness it’s International Ding-a-Ling Day. Phew. I need a day like this. I am so often a ding-a-ling. Silly mistakes and flub ups are my norm. It’s something that’s become more and more the case as you get older, so you better accept it and celebrate it! Join me for a toast?
And BTW, you can Smile freely and without worry because it is also Fresh Breath Day. A wise person once said: If someone offers you a breath mint, take it as a hint instead of a gift.
The fact that it is also Gingerbread House Day and Poinsettia Day suggests that if you celebrate Christmas, it’s time to get in gear about decorating! I know I need a good kick in the pants in this regard. Oy, no tree yet!
It is also Hot Cocoa Day (and tomorrow, too). Yum! There’s nothing quite so comforting as hot cocoa after a day out on the slopes skiing (well maybe hot cocoa with peppermint schnapps). That’s where I’m headed for the next few days. Wish me luck.
Raise a glass of steaming cocoa to birthday peeps Mayim Bialik (1975), Dionne Warwick (1940), Kathy Rigby (1952), Connie Francis (1938), and Frank Sinatra (1915). My mom had a crush on that last one when she was a teenager.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
