Life is like a box of crayons.
I fancy myself to be the 64-color box
with the sharpener on the back,
though I’ve got a few missing.
I admit the photo, quote and the holiday are only tangentially matched. Sheesh, somedays it’s hard to find a Smiley picture that matches one of the holidays and for which there’s an appropriate quote. I have to admit the weird ones make me chuckle. I hope they do that for you as well.
It also Chocolate Covered Anything Day. My favorite chocolate covered thing is peppermint Joe Joe’s from Trader Joe’s. I bought 15 boxes the other day. No kidding fifteen. They are so so so good frozen.
Dishwasher Smiley
Over on a Month of Smiley Silliness, it’s Tile Day. I love tile. I’m itching to re-tile our bathroom. I simply need to put the task at the top of my TO DO list. It’s been near the bottom for way too long. It’s important to prioritize the things that bring you pleasure! I remember in great detail the entryway I tiled at a previous house, but at that same house I can not recall a thing about doing the dishes or folding the laundry.
Additionally it’s Barbie and Barnie Backlash Day. Phooey to that. People who want to talk smack about something just because others like it, are negative people! Truth be told, most of us have positive memories of playing with Barbies and watching Barney. So there.
Happy birthday to Beethovan (1770) and his contemporary Jane Austin (1775). Additionally, and more recently, Benjamin Bratt (1963), Billy Gibbons (1949), and J.B. Smoove (1964).
