Eat Out Night
The oldest form of theater
is the dinner table.
It’s got five or six people,
new show every night,
same players. Good ensemble;
the people have worked together a lot.
~ Michael J. Fox
Today’s quote comes from Michael J.Fox, whose TV special: Michael J. Fox: Adventures of an Incurable Optimist is FABULOUS!!
If you’re looking for something to do on this chilly winter day, it is National Crossword Puzzle Week. I do so love doing puzzles of every kind.
Over on our calendar, Month of Smiley Silliness, it’s Diesel Engine Day. I’ve always been fond of big machinery and big trucks. Maybe because they are covered in Smileys!! No kidding. If you’re having trouble finding a Smiley Face, take a look at big machinery. All the nuts and bolts and cables make finding a Smiley easy!!
Another of Michael Jackson’s kids has a birthday this month. Today we say happy birthday to Blanket Jackson (2002). I’ve always wondered if they actually use the name Blanket or if they’ve come up with something a little more name-like. BTW, I think that’s the 1st time we’ve commemorated a birthday here with a birth year in this century.
These people join Blanket in celebrating today: Barbara Jordan (1936), Kelsey Grammar (1955), and Rue McClanahan (1934), If you want to get to know birthday boy Kelsey Grammar a little better, here’s a great interview with him and my pal Paolo Presta.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
Plus, as is often the case, the Restaurant Smiley you get in the Smiley-a-Day emailer is different from what you see here.
