Jewelry Day
Love bravely,
live bravely,
be courageous,
there’s really nothing to lose.
There’s no wrong
you can’t make right again.
~Jewel
A quote from Jewel was the best I could come up with for today for Jewelry Day.
My best Smiley Lady story about jewelry occurred just the other evening. I saw a street vendor’s stall about to collapse right it. She gave me a pair of earrings made from old BART tickets. I love BART! I love my new earrings. Offering to help a stranger doesn’t always come with a reward–oh yes it does, the reward is the good feeling you get!
Don’t forget it’s Be Polite Week. Easy, schmeazy! Also gives you a good feeling.
Additionally, it’s Pack Rat Day. LOL , I read that as Rat Pack Day and went off to YouTube in search of a cool Sinatra clip to add to the post! Glasses, Ruth, glasses. You must wear your glasses!
Today we say happy birthday to Justin Martin (1994) who wowed us in Lion King on Broadway. Then there’s birthday boy Bob Saget (1956) who introduced the world to funny home videos on TV. I think everyone watched that show at least once.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley. There you’ll learn that it’s Bike to Work Day.
Plus, as is often the case, the Jewelry Smiley you get in the Smiley-a-Day emailer is different from what you see here.
