Visit a Museum Day
Living is like
tearing through a museum.
Not until later
do you really start absorbing
what you saw, thinking about it,
looking it up in a book,
and remembering –
because you can’t take it in all at once.
~ Audrey Hepburn
Maybe Audrey should have slowed down to smell the roses, oops make that slowed down and seen the Smileys!
~ Ruth Kaiser, The Smiley Lady
It’s also Out Pun Your Friends Day, When I told this to my son, he said without missing a beat, “You’ll win that one!” It’s nice when your kids are proud of you (wait…he was being proud, right?).
Today is also No Dirty Dishes Day on a month full of Smiley Silliness. To celebrate I guess we eat with our hands and drink from the carton.
Today we say happy birthday to Frank Capra (1897) and Tina Fey (1970). And my personal favorite for today, Meredith Wilson (1902) who wrote the music and lyrics for The Music Man.
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here.
