Get a Tattoo Day
If I were to get a tattoo,
it would be the two masks,
and they would be both smiling.

MOTHER’S DAY CARDS ARE HERE!!
Please SHARE them on social Media!
Today is the start of Salute to Moms Week and of course Mothers’ Day! Back in 1914 President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed that the second Sunday in May would be forever more known as Mother’s Day. That’s 101 years ago!! The Mother’s Day Smiley e-cards are up on the website. Just click and share. There’s even one for mom to send to the kids and for dad to send to his wife.
The picture is my tattoo!! No kidding and, I guess no surprise. A couple years ago, my hubby, 2 of my kids, a kid’s friend, and I all got one! Though I did ask, no, they don’t have a discount for when a whole family comes in–doesn’t happen often enough for them to have a policy in place! BTW, please don’t nominate me for worst mother of the year; everyone was over 21. In fact they led me astray, not the other way around.
The tattoo guy rolled his eyes when I explained why I did not want mine filled in with the iconic yellow. I wanted to be able to color it in every day to match my outfit. What’s ended up evolving is my students do that for me.
Tonight is also Stay Up All Night Night. I think I’ll pass. I love sleep as much as I love chocolate.
Additionally, on this day in 1952, Mad Magazine debuted.
Today we say happy birthday to Melissa Gilbert (1964) who played Laura on the TV show Little House on the Prairie. People are forever telling me she and I are each others doppelhangers. I don’t see it. Also celebrating we have Enrique Iglesias (1975), Don Rickles (1926), and Rickey Nelson (1940). I was about to type a snarky remark, but reminded myself just in the nick of time, that’s never a good idea. Remember: Just because it crosses your mind, doesn’t mean it has to cross your lips.
