It’s also the start of Nude Recreation Week over on a calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness. And no coincidence, it’s also Laughter Week. Who wouldn’t laugh at a bunch of people recreating in their birthday suits.
You might want to resist celebrating today’s two food holidays for the potato and raisin bread, if you also want to put on your bikini in honor of it’s debut, this day in 1946.

Funny coincidence, today is the release date of Elvis‘ 1st record “That’s Alright” in 1954. Maybe he was singing to all of us who feel shy about prancing around in a bikini.
Today we say happy birthday to Edie Falco (1963) and Huey Lewis (1950). Coincidentally, I have actually worn a bikini in the company of birthday boy Huey Lewis during a waterskiing weekend back in 1985.
