French Fry Day
I like to talk about my obsession with french fries because I don’t want people to think that ‘Let’s Move’ is about complete, utter deprivation. It’s about moderation and real-life changes and ideas that really work for families.
~ Michelle Obama
I too am a french fry lover. I want them to come straight from the frier, “so hot they’ll make my spit sizzle.” Say that to your server and you always get a smile. I figure no point eating all those calories unless they’re perfect! ~ Ruth Kaiser, the Smiley Lady
It’s also Embrace Your Geekiness Day. Does that come with an instruction manual? You just know geeks love instruction manuals! My very tech savvy grown up son, used to love reading manuals. For Christmas I could give him the manual and 2 months later for his birthday the gadget. True story and he didn’t think I was being mean–he loved it.
“Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle.” ~ A quote by Lewis Carroll in honor of Puzzle Day. A person who enjoys puzzles is an enigmaologist.
Over on a calendar of a month full of Smiley Silliness we begin Be a Gruntled Worker Day. Don’t know the word gruntled? It’s the opposite of disgruntled. I hope your job leaves you feeling gruntled, instead of disgruntled. If not, might a change be overdue?
Happy birthday Patrick Stewart (1940), you sexy thing you. Let’s share a meal. “Make it so.”
BTW, the Smileys and holidays on a month full of Smiley Silliness are all different than the ones you see here on the website’s Daily Smiley.
