It’s also both Be a Dork Day Didn’t we just celebrate Dorks on July 13? No, no, the 13th was Embrace Your Geekiness Day. What are the Dorks and Geeks going to do with themselves on the 17th?
Today we say happy birthday to Forest Whitaker (1961) and Linda Ronstadt (1946). Those two never disappoint! They have 2 food holidays to choose from for their birthday treat. It’s Tapioca Day and Gummy Worm Day.
I read in several paces that it’s Also Winnie the Pooh Day. But then I researched why and found one citation saying it’s to celebrate the birthday of the author. But A.A.Milne‘s birthday is January 18. So, I don’t know. But I also don’t care. I’ll have a smackerel of honey on my toast, spend time with my best friend, and if anything annoys me I’ll just say, “Oh bother.”
Perhaps best of all it’s Toss Away the Could Haves and the Should Haves Day. There’s good advice.
